June - August 2016
In the summer of 2016 I joined Cola Messenger, an app run by an experienced team attempting to reinvent messaging. Cola takes on the unique challenge of creating a messaging environment with in-app software called "Bubbles" that are used to handle different forms of communication. In addition to Cola's own pre-installed Bubbles, developers can create and ship new forms of communication between peer-to-peer or group-to-peer within Cola's messaging app.
When I joined Cola, the team was interested in creating as many Bubbles as possible and releasing a BDK (Bubble Development Kit). Over a ten week period, I was able to contribute to the team and help ship new Bubbles and the BDK.
It was amazing to work with and be mentored by Jeremy LaCroix (who previously worked as an Art Director @Wired, Head of UX/Design @AOL, and VP of Design & UX @Issuu), along with the other highly-experienced individuals at the company.
On this page, I've included aspects of the product that Ied or was involved with during my time at Cola.
